
Songbird 1.1.1
Apparently it was released like a week or so ago, but it’s news to people that didn’t know that yet. For some reason the Songbird engine doesn’t auto update like all the other Mozilla releases so you will have to do this on your own but you can always download Songbird and install it with no issue. The upgrade process should be common to all who regularly make certain that they are using the newest software.
Some of the better features that I had hoped for are kind of… well they are missing. The additions that did make it into the relase can be found in the release notes or shortly as follows.

Zune 30
Oh, the horror of the Zune 30 owners out there like myself that noticed that there prized device was completely locked up at the start of the day on December 31st, 2008.
At about 12am the devices went in to what some are calling a coma, where the device would restart itself then sit at the loading screen until the battery goes dead. I myself got the heads up from a friend of mine who had heard from the pipeline that ALL 30gb Zune’s had failed at the same time all around then world, dependent on what time zone you are in.
Sure there is a fix now but it still looks poorly upon Microsoft. MS is probably the poster child of the corporate machine with consumer trust in them fleeting every day. Do read on for more information.
