Fading Google Homepage

Now that looks familiar

So I had heard online that Google was working on getting a new homepage look but did not get to see it in development.

Today while browsing I visit the homepage and noticed that things did indeed fade in when the mouse is over the page. It did come as a total shock to me since it was still early but I do think it’s a nice addition.

Although the fade is really slick and keeps the page clean I wish that it would fade back out when the mouse is moved back towards the center of the page but I guess we can’t all get what we want all the time.

Personally I really like the way that it fades and think that it was a great step in the right direction for Google. It was a breath of fresh air after the 1990’s and early 2000’s that we seen Yahoo! get even more cluttered.

As a little side note I noticed that they increased the size of the font on the search area a month or so ago…. I do not like it.
