This year I will be celebrating the holidays in grand old fashion but with a little twist. This year I have much to be thankful for, decent friends, great family, and a little baby boy that is the light of my world. Trevor was born on 12/01/2008 at about 2:43pm and is now 3 weeks old. I look forward to time spent with him and his mother.
This year we will be doing the holiday rush and will be leaving tonight to head to the in-laws house with the kid to spend the night. In the morning we will be eating a nice homemade breakfast and will open some presents after some coffee and merriment. Once 1pm hits we will be eating at the in-laws then heading up to my grandparents house for yet another meal and more presents. After all that fun has ended we will then move on down the road to my mothers where we will open some more presents and be thoroughly ready for a nap. Thankfully this holiday season ends after that for a few more days. I am sure that there are many people in this same boat, maybe we should join a club?
It will be my first Christmas as a Dad and I look forward to the look in his eyes when he is awake enough to see the tree and all the blinking stuff. Anyway to get to the point I will be going on leave for the next few weeks until about 1/15/2009 or sometime thereafter.
I will be busy studying for my CompTIA Network+ exam and providing that I have the time to do it properly I will have my Net+ Certification. I know that this doesn’t seem like much to some of you but when I am done with the sequence I am going for I will be a triple threat with my A+, Net+, and Security+ certifications.
Also on another note, this fall 2008 semester has ended and grades have been posted. I am looking at a GPA of 3.58 for the semester and a GPA of 3.34 combined. So in other words, I did pretty well this semester and am now looking forward to a graduation in the spring 2009 semester.
So wish me luck in what I am up to and wait for some updates, they will be along before you know it. Until then browse the archives, leave some comments, and…..
HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE HOLIDAY SEASON!!!
~Travis

Happy Holidays to you too!
