Iron Man

Okay so starts the summer blockbuster hooplah where everyone kind of expects there to be a new movie out every single week for them to watch and Hollywood loves to make money so they will keep shoveling some of this crap out the door before it’s even done being filmed if they didn’t think anyone would notice.

Iron Man is an exception to this, it appears that they took their time and put plenty of effort into delivering a comic book movie that wasn’t over done or terrible, such as what you might find in Ultra Violet, Dare Devil, Ghost Rider, and all the Batman movies in the 90′s.

Iron Man with the lead of Robert Downey Jr is quite amazing, he (Downey) plays Tony Stark to such a believable level that I could actually see him as the character. The casting for the movies I think was a good part of the credibility of the entire movie, with the surprise appearance of Samuel L Jackson it certainly helped to get things going with a sequel of sorts.

Honestly I found the movie to be rather well done and thoroughly enjoyed all the computer animation scenes as they blended right in. The only downsides to the entire movie is that I feel it was a little too short to tell the entire story and could have gone on into an epic if done properly and it could have used some more action so I didn’t have to leave the theater wanting for more.

All in all though I will give this movie a 8 on my scale of 1 to 10. A very good watch, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you had better get on the ball and check it out.

Job Hunts

Today has been my job hunt day and I will say that it is turning into a nightmare that will never end. It seems like the day started off strong but has worked into this sort of drunken haze feeling that has left me lack lustered and rather grumpy.
Job hunting in itself can be such a chore to be honest and I am starting to run low on places that I…

  1. … haven’t worked yet.
  2. … wouldn’t mind working at.
  3. … wouldn’t see my check and think “I could almost live off the gross income before taxes”.
  4. … would have time to finish school.
  5. … didn’t come home from McDonald’s.
  6. … don’t have to sell anything extra that no one wants anyway.
  7. … am not tied to a phone at a call center.
  8. … am not crammed into a cubical doing data entry lessening my earning potential.

I have to say that it seems like that list is pretty long of what I don’t want to do but I will say that there are so many service jobs in America that there is almost not a single thing actually being produced anyplace near here, and those that are will not be flexible enough for me to finish school anyway.

So what is an almost college grad to do when it comes to the end of the semester and they need to work?

  1. Sponge off family for the summer.
  2. Have parent get you a job.
  3. Apply for internships.
  4. Start own business and work that for the summer.
  5. Stuff envelopes for next to nothing.

Now I personally would love to start my own business up out of my house but the fact is that I can’t get access to all the things that I need to get a computer repair business started that is more aimed at the retail customer. I do however like to make money and there isn’t a better feeling than when someone has a smile on their face and some Jackson’s in their wallet because you are the cheapest show boat in the entire town.
