The thing about looking for a new home is that there are so many choices. Some of these choices can be some good places and others can be not so good. I have found that with the economy and the recent talk of an economic downswing that house shopping should turn up some fairly decent places at a fraction of the cost of what they probably would go for at any other time.
What I have found recently tends to be somewhat lackluster in the housing market and I feel that things will not be getting better for a long time to come.
- Houses in the area I live are still overpriced
- People seem to think that there house is made of solid gold
- Acreage is low for the price
- Market is saturated with overpriced homes
- Taxes on many places are too high
So with these things in mind I suppose that I will have to wait for the bottom to fall out before people seem to get the idea that what they have isn’t worth what they want. I think that realators seem to set the price for some people recalling what it might have gone for back 10 years ago when things where a little better in this area.
The thing about this economic downswing is that we really never came out of the last one from when Reagan left office and George Bush Sr. came into, so this all leads me to beleive that things aren’t all as dandy as people might seem to think that they are and this area will only get worse.
So at the moment I will continue to go to school and I will graduate soon enough with an AAS in computer science, hopefully I can get my things together and get somewhat of a good job for all my work.
